CHM 106 - Contemporary Chemistry I
This is a survey course in chemistry for non-science majors emphasizing basic principles. Topics include atomic and molecular structure, nuclear chemistry, formulas and nomenclature, states of matter, chemical reactions, acids and bases. Laboratory sections emphasize applications of basic techniques and supplement lecture topics. Prerequisites: ENG 100 and RDG 100 or RWR 100 and MAT 152 or appropriate placement test scores. (3/3)
